June 2010 Events

A procession for San Isidro kicks off the day's festivities on Sunday of Spring Festival.

Spring Festival and Children's Fair
June 5-6 from 10 am - 4 pm

Learn about New Mexico's history the fun way! Costumed villagers will tell you - and show you - about life on a Spanish colonial ranch.
Sheep shearing, blacksmithing and bread baking are just some of the activities your family will enjoy.

You may also participate in an outdoor Mass and procession for San Isidro, patron saint of farmers, on Sunday; Enjoy music and dancing on our entertainment platform and buy arts and crafts directly from the artisans. Kids can visit with wolves, mini horses, sheep, greyhound dogs and other critters. They can also see a magic show, eat bizcochitos (traditional NM cookies) fresh from the horno, make their own tortilla, try on the costumes of the Spanish settlers and do hands-on arts and crafts.
