Presented by Giulia Caporuscio of Historic Santa Fe Foundation

Terrón, or sod, is an earthen brick that is cut directly from the land. Come learn how this material was harvested and used across the world and in New Mexico. How this once accessible practice has become less common as landscapes have changed. This talk will also help you understand and identify the differences between terrón and adobe.

Giulia Caporuscio has a Masters of Art in History and a Masters of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of New Mexico. She currently works as an educator, historian, and preservationist at Historic Santa Fe Foundation.
