Can You Dig It?

Unearth the wonders of the past at the “Can You Dig It?” program, an exciting hands-on archaeology dig designed especially for kids and families.

This unique activity is available on select Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the season, giving kids the opportunity to learn about archaeology and New Mexico history by digging in a simulated archaeology pit. Each child is assigned an area to dig, and they record the variety of objects that they discover in the pit.

The program is included in regular museum admission (member families and kids 12 and under always receive free admission). The program is suitable only for ages 5 and older. Parent supervision is required.
