What are the operating hours of El Rancho de Las Golondrinas?
El Rancho de Las Golondrinas is open June through October, Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm. The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please check the calendar before visiting.
Where is El Rancho de Las Golondrinas located?
The museum is located at 334 Los Pinos Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87507. Located in La Ciénega valley, Las Golondrinas is just 15 minutes south of Santa Fe and 45 minutes north of Albuquerque. If using GPS, please make sure to use the Los Pinos Road address or say “El Rancho de las Golondrinas MUSEUM.” There is a Las Golondrinas road close to the museum that will not connect you to our main entrance.
How do I purchase admission?
For general admission to the museum or wetland preserve, admission can be purchased in the Museum Store upon arrival. For festival weekends and other special events, we highly recommend purchasing tickets online through HoldMyTicket.com, as these events sell out.
How much time should I plan for my visit?
El Rancho de Las Golondrinas is an outdoor living history museum with 500 acres to explore, 34 historic buildings and hands-on experiences for all ages. To get the most from your experience, we recommend planning to visit for at least 2 hours.
Can I bring food and drinks into the museum?
Outside food and drinks are allowed, and we have designated picnic areas where you can enjoy your own meals. Food is also available for purchase from the Golondrinas Cafe. Please clean up after yourself and dispose of any trash properly.
Are guided tours available?
Yes, we offer a daily tour at 10:30am, included with museum admission. This tour lasts up to 2 hours. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and sign-up is available in the museum store upon arrival. Private tours are also available, by reservation only.
How do I access the Leonora Curtin Wetland Preserve?
Access to the wetland preserve is included with your museum admission. It’s just a 15-minute walk from the museum entrance to the wetland preserve. Access is not permitted through the Frontage Road gate.
Is the museum accessible for visitors with disabilities?
We strive to make El Rancho de Las Golondrinas accessible to all visitors, but many areas are challenging in a wheelchair. View our Accessibility page for more information. Please contact us in advance to discuss specific needs.
Can I bring my pet to the ranch?
Pets are not allowed on the museum grounds, except for registered service animals. Read more about accepted service animals on our Accessibility page.

Can I book El Rancho de Las Golondrinas for a private event?
