New Mexico Heritage Days
Attention teachers! Enliven your students’ exploration of history with a field trip to El Rancho de Las Golondrinas during New Mexico Heritage Days. These are special event days when the museum comes to life with costumed interpreters and hands-on activities just for students. Reservations required.

Field Trips
Bring your classroom to El Rancho de Las Golondrinas for an unforgettable field trip. Our museum spans 500 acres and includes over 30 historic buildings, each offering unique insights into New Mexico’s history. Guided tours are tailored to different grade levels, with opportunities for hands-on activities with costumed historical interpreters.
Fee: $50 per tour guide
Maximum: 20 students per tour guide
Staff/Chaperone to Student Ratio: 1 to 10

Can’t make it to the museum? We can come to you! Our outreach programs bring the magic of El Rancho de Las Golondrinas directly to your classroom. Our team of educators and historians will visit your school to deliver dynamic presentations and interactive activities that align with your curriculum.
