Explore the multitudes of bees, butterflies, and birds that are summer visitors to the Preserve, and learn about restoration efforts for North America’s iconic butterfly – the monarch.
This tour is led by Chuck Hayes, a Branch Supervisor with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office. Hayes has worked on wildlife-related matters in New Mexico since 1997, and serves as the New Mexico lead for Fish and Wildlife Service’s monarch listing, conservation, and recovery efforts.
