Big Kill

Yet another Western feature film has recently been on location at El Rancho de las Golondrinas. Big Kill, starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Danny Trejo, filmed at the Ranch during the month of November and continued filming in and around Santa Fe through December.

The Western follows “a tenderfoot from Philadelphia, two misfit gamblers on the run and a deadly preacher who have a date with destiny in a boom town gone bust,” according to a news release from the New Mexico Film Office.

Lou Diamond Phillips

Lou Diamond Phillips is well-known for his co-starring role in the Netflix Western Longmire, which filmed in Northern New Mexico beginning in 2011 through 2017.

Danny Trejo in Big Kill

Danny Trejo, a prolific character actor and veteran of action films, appeared in two early-season episodes of the classic Albuquerque-filmed drama Breaking Bad.

Big Kill is scheduled for release early summer of 2018. Be sure to watch and pick out those scenes shot at El Rancho de las Golondrinas.
