“Godless” Wraps

The limited television series “Godless,” produced by Netflix, completed production and filming at El Rancho de las Golondrinas. Film crews working at Las Golondrinas on this large scale production employed approximately 280 New Mexico crew members, 30 New Mexico principal actors and 2,350 New Mexico background talent.

This six-episode period drama will premiere worldwide on Netflix in 2017 and is set in the expansive landscape of the great western frontier. It stars Emmy Award Winner Jeff Daniels, Emmy and Golden Globe nominated Michelle Dockery and Jack O’Connell.

The series centers around Frank Griffin (Jeff Daniels), a menacing outlaw who is terrorizing the West as he hunts down Roy Goode (Jack O’Connell), his son-like partner turned mortal enemy.  While Roy hides at Alice Fletcher’s (Michelle Dockery) ranch, Frank’s chase leads him to the quiet town of La Belle, New Mexico…which is mysteriously made up of entirely women.

Steven Soderbergh (“Minority Report,” “Traffic”), Scott Frank (“Out of Sight,” “Get Shorty”) and Casey Silver (“Hildago,” “The Forbidden Kingdom”) are executive producers, and Frank serves as both writer and director on the project.
