New Leadership at Las Golondrinas

As many of you know, two weeks ago, Board Chair Stephen Machen, accepted, with regret, the resignation of our Museum Director, Dawn St. George, who has moved back to Wisconsin and taken a position closer to her home and family.  Dawn  will be the Executive Director of a non-profit organization in Milwaukee which works to enhance Milwaukee County Parks. We are selfishly sorry to see her leave, but we wish her well as she begins this new phase of her career.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Daniel Goodman, Director of Education and Collections has accepted the position of Interim Museum Director at the Ranch and Sean Paloheimo will add the title of Interim Assistant Museum Director to his current title of Director of Ranch Operations.

Mike King will continue in his part-time position with most of his current portfolio and has graciously ceded the title of Deputy Director.

Because the season is upon us and transitions always involve unknowns, there may be a few other modifications of job descriptions within the staff.  We will keep you posted.

Please join us and the Board of Directors in welcoming these familiar faces to their new positions and making their transition as seamless as possible. We know that all of you will share our enthusiasm and optimism about our new leadership team and join us in congratulating Dan and Sean on their new positions at the head of the Golondrinas team!
