Fundraiser for Las Golondrinas this Wednesday!

Fire & Hops

Come out mid-week, have a beer and some tasty food and at the same time lend your support to El Rancho de las Golondrinas!

On Wednesday, June 7, from 5:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M., Fire & Hops Gastropub, 222 North Guadalupe in Santa Fe, will be hosting a fundraising event for us.  Owner and manager, Josh Johns, has agreed to donate 10% of all sales including drinks (after tax and comps) to El Rancho de las Golondrinas!

Fire & Hops Gastropub is a folksy, upscale neighborhood pub with a locally sourced menu of small and large plates plus artisanal ciders.  It serves high quality food and superb beverages at prices typical of a neighborhood eatery. Fire & Hops is dedicated to the following four guiding principles: local; sustainable; quality; friendly.

There will be a tap takeover on Wednesday night by Great Divide Brewing out of Denver. They will be offering four to five specialty brews on tap plus there will be several food specials. This is a great opportunity for you to taste some new beers, mingle with your friends and family, and share some lively conversation.

No reservations necessary.  Bring your family, friends and neighbors for a lovely evening! Hope to see you there!.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1459037322270{padding-top: 2rem !important;}”][vc_raw_html]JTNDZGl2JTIwY2xhc3MlM0QlMjJmbG93ZXItZGV0YWlsJTIyJTNFJTNDJTJGZGl2JTNF[/vc_raw_html][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1490816288877{padding-top: 160px !important;padding-bottom: 340px !important;}”][vc_column][parallax_row image=”1968″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1478729915973{padding-top: 1rem !important;padding-right: 2rem !important;padding-bottom: 1rem !important;padding-left: 2rem !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/4″ css=”.vc_custom_1453333820783{padding-top: 1rem !important;}”][vc_column_text]

Our History

El Rancho de las Golondrinas, a historic rancho and now a living history museum, was strategically located on the Camino Real, the Royal Road that extended from Mexico City to Santa Fe. The museum opened in 1972 and is dedicated to the history, heritage and culture of 18th and 19th century New Mexico.

El Rancho de las Golondrinas grew out of the vision of the Curtin-Paloheimo family. In 1932, Leonora Curtin and her mother purchased the ranch property. Leonora is known for the founding of Santa Fe’s Native Market in an effort to save and reestablish traditional craft forms and techniques, and to provide local artisans with a source of income during the Great Depression. After their marriage in 1946, Leonora and her Finnish husband, Yrjö Alfred (Y.A.) Paloheimo, saw the potential in the old ranch as a site for an outdoor living history museum.

Both Leonora and Y.A. devoted themselves to transforming the property into a place where visitors could physically engage with the rich culture of the region and become immersed in the history of New Mexico. Existing historic buildings were restored, period structures were erected and historic buildings were brought in from other sites around New Mexico. The museum officially opened its doors in the spring of 1972 and over time has grown into New Mexico’s premier living history museum. Today the museum promotes and preserves the Hispano heritage of Northern New Mexico, while at the same time building a better understanding of the lasting influence of Hispanos in the Southwest and the rest of the country.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1478730099180{padding-bottom: 1rem !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1459037322270{padding-top: 2rem !important;}”][vc_raw_html]JTNDZGl2JTIwY2xhc3MlM0QlMjJmbG93ZXItZGV0YWlsJTIyJTNFJTNDJTJGZGl2JTNF[/vc_raw_html][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1486406186075{background-color: #a4322e !important;}”][vc_column][parallax_row speed=”1″ opacity=”50″ image=”711″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486405922228{padding-top: 5rem !important;padding-right: 10rem !important;padding-bottom: 5rem !important;padding-left: 2rem !important;}”]
